In Sympathy

So sorry for your loss. My nan passed away last year and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. My thoughts are with you. God bless. I hope you find this poem of comfort, as I have done. x

What is Dying?

A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'

That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.

So, so sorry for your loss

Dear Lois - please let me pass on my deepest sympathies for the loss of your lovely nanna Joan. I was really moved when I read your eulogy - nanna's are incredibly special ladies in our hearts...they never leave. Im sure your nanna would love this site - and be really proud of you.

What a lovely lady she looked - lovely, happy smile....she left so many loving, fun and happy memories behind for you - they remain forever locked inside your heart - where they will live forever. Nothing ever takes those away from you Lois. When you are feeling really low, wrap yourself up in the love your nanna left behind for you - she'd want to bring you comfort in your down times. But your nanna would want to laugh with you in your happy times too - she will always share those with you - wherever you go and whatever you do.

God will cherish your lovely nanna and keep her safe for you. God bless.
